As the world continues to raise the awareness on the dangers of cane sugar consumption, sweeteners are getting a central stage as an alternative.
Several have come and gone, others are becoming the main choice of health aficionados.
Xylitol is one of them.
The jury is out on which one is best for consumption and indeed that would depend on a particular individuals health issues and genotype.
Interestingly Xylitol can be found naturally in Plums, strawberries and raspberries, not just in supplement form. Research also shows evidence of it enhancing the body’s own innate immunity.
Possibly with a focus on improving situations with ears, nose and throat diseases.
So next time we choose chewing gum, perhaps we can all consider the xylitol version.
