Since the start of the pandemic many fitness and health enthusiasts have learned something about in home training.
It’s that they’re here to stay.
A sudden paradigm shift happened, one that few people had considered before, mainly due to programming that the gym was the only place to sweat.
Some surveys are even saying that nearly 3/4 people agree that in home training routines are here to stay.
I agree, even though I do plenty of away from home training like tennis and swimming, most of my physical training is within my home compound.
Why has there been this shift with us all? Here’s a few reasons:
- In a home gym you are never waiting for equipment, it is waiting for you.
- Home training is a massive time saver. Travelling to a gym, training, showering, traveling back… is often 2+ hrs. If you have a career, family and social life, that becomes a barrier.
- You can squeeze in a workout whenever you want especially when working from home. You become a master of when you train instead of the usual hassle of coordinating duties around serious training.
Like I recommend to my own clients around the world, if you want to get the most out of your home training and not sure where to start with equipment, a Swiss ball and a set of adjustable dumbbells go a long way. This means that hundreds of highly effective movements are at your disposal instantly.
