Around this time of year, most people get frustrated with their fat loss progress.
It’s understandable because if you’re new to the goal, there are many hidden challenges along the way.
And even if you are not new to the goal, if the last time you did it, you were significantly younger, another challenge pops up, basal metabolic rate!
Health and performance goals and strategies, just like other areas of life, aren’t necessarily easy although they can be simple.
The biggest problem is that most people are eating like they’re about to run a marathon every day.
We simply don’t need to eat very much at all, most of the time.
I have a client who’s currently training for a triathlon and he’s training six days a week sometimes twice a day, his calorie intake is around 4-5000 per day.
The other day I trained three times. Cycling in the morning, swimming in the early afternoon and then a serious weight training session in the late afternoon. I ate approximately 7000 cals that day.
Are we going to be eating this amount of calories every day, especially when we’re not training that much? Absolutely not.
As I write this, I’m currently suffering from a bad cold and I’ve been in bed for two days straight, the only calories I’ve had is two bowls of soup and my supplements.
Point being, adapt your calories to the days you have and be conscious enough to do so.
Mindless eating is the number one cause of fat gain.
Conscious eating is the number one cause of fat loss.
Which is why a great opportunity at this time of year is to try something like Prolon (Discount code: RH10), not only for the tremendous health benefits which you will find in the link…
It’s also for fast tracking conscious eating, losing fat as well as helping you realise how little you actually need most days.
In many ways, a controlled reset. And one I personally use once a year.
