As many of us have our basic lifestyles and survival needs covered, sometimes it’s good to remind ourselves of what a human being (you) needs to survive optimally in every day life and a crisis.

It can cut right through all the noise at times and can help give us a solid foundation for our health.

The most essential nutritional components for a human are:

  1. Protein: Protein is essential for growth, repair, and maintenance of tissues in the body. It is also important for the immune system, and it can help prevent muscle loss during periods of starvation.

  2. Carbohydrates: Carbohydrates provide energy for the body, and during hard times, they can help sustain energy levels.

  3. Fats: Fats are a rich source of energy, and they also provide essential fatty acids that the body cannot produce on its own. They are important for the brain and nervous system, and they can help with nutrient absorption.

  4. Vitamins: Vitamins are essential for various functions in the body, and during hard times, it’s important to consume foods rich in vitamins, particularly vitamin A, vitamin C, and vitamin E.
