Organic vs the rest Featured Image

There was a recent extensive study on organically grown food that proves organic food is better for you than conventional food. Led by Newcastle university they analysed 343 studies.

I won’t bore you with all the scientific aspects of why and how (see the reference link below for that) but what came forth was that antioxidants were found to be 18-69% higher, a 48% decrease of heavy metals and up to 87% lower in harmful pesticide residues for organic crops.

So what does this really mean? Well, quite a lot actually! As most people know, our environment is becoming more toxic by the year and various health problems are becoming more prevalent as time goes on. So eating food that promotes health is certainly a huge positive for you and your family. These current findings show that the extra nutrients and decreased toxins found in organic produce will decrease the likelihood of chronic and neurodegenerative diseases.

Many people complain that organic food is too expensive but you’ll find with the extra nutrient values, you also won’t need to eat as much and a great way to get great fresh produce at amazing prices is to shop at farmers markets or use farmdrop.com where they’ll deliver your goods to you straight from the farm!

Happy eating
